Located at Ánima Village, the 138-square-metre store features eight-metre-high ceilings and an open, light-filled layout designed to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Latin America.
Notably, Mexican design studio Lordag & Sondag created eight lighting installations made entirely from straw, each representing a different stage of a flower’s bloom. The studio also designed custom door handles shaped like female spider monkeys and wall hooks inspired by strelitzia flowers.
Marva Studio, led by José Bañuelos, contributed ceramic tiles for the store’s entrance niches and checkout area, produced using ancestral techniques by artisan families in Tangancícuaro, Michoacán.
Additional furnishings were created by Colombian studio Alta, which produced one table and five displays embellished with intricate beadwork forming patterns inspired by rainforest insects and Caribbean corals. Brazilian artist and educator Stela Barbieri added a distinctive fitting room installation through her Casulo project, constructed from raw cotton weaving and embroidered seeds.
Lastly, familiar elements from previous Farm Rio stores appear throughout the space, including wallpaper by French artist Dominique Jardy and a sculptural display rack showcasing approximately 120 SKUs from the brand’s Fall–Winter 2025 collection.
The Los Cabos opening follows Farm Rio’s debut in Mexico City earlier this year at Artz Pedregal and brings the brand’s international footprint to 15 locations worldwide.
