Already held up as a pioneering platform for tech sustainability, The Mills Fabrica is opening its Fabrica X London King’s Cross doors to stage a ‘Festive Concept Market’ from 1 November to 21 December.
The “experimental and experiential retail destination for tech-style products and innovations” promises an “inspiring, all-under-one-roof, curation of gifting options that are both covetable and responsibly made”.
It will feature a “thoughtful selection of purpose-driven brands… from emerging designers practising slow fashion principles, circularity and considered sourcing, alongside emerging brands reshaping the future of retail with sustainability at the forefront”.
The brand line-up will include an exclusive collection of sustainable gifts and festive finds from fellow pioneering brands including Homework, Leiho, LOUÉ , E.L.V. Denim , Beyond Retro, Yumi, Zephyr Jewellery and more. So think “conscious fashion, artisanal accessories and eco-living essentials”.
To get there, all brands participating will “meet Fabrica X’s stringent criteria for ethics and sustainability without compromising on joy-giving potential,” said Amy Tsang, Head of Europe at The Mills Fabrica.
She added: “Our Festive Market [offers] a space where creativity, community, and conscious consumption come together.”
Alongside gift shopping, visitors can also expect “engaging activations and storytelling” from some of the featured brands. This will include a yet-to-be-announced programme of workshops and events.
But, so far, we’re told Beyond Retro will be providing vintage scarves for circular gift-wrapping, Furoshiki-style, E.L.V. Denim will host a fireside chat with Anna Foster and Tiffanie Darke on 13 November and Positive Luxury will stage a panel discussion on 2 December.
