The e-commerce retailer BazarChic has appointed Émilie de Fautereau as its managing director, one year after its acquisition by AA Investments. With more than 20 years’ experience in the transformation and development of consumer brands and businesses, she joins BazarChic with the ambition of accelerating its transformation, strengthening its appeal among customers and partner brands, and setting the company on a sustainable growth trajectory.

“BazarChic has built up real goodwill among its customers and partner brands. My ambition now is to accelerate its transformation and further enhance its desirability in order to build sustainable growth,” said Émilie de Fautereau in a press release.
The new managing director brings expertise gained from the turnaround and digital transformation of Oasis and Schweppes; from leading brand strategy at Meetic Europe / Match Group as vice president, brand and consumer Europe; and from a career at Leocare as chief marketing and growth officer, followed by a general management role at Aliive Groupe.
Owned by the Galeries Lafayette group until August 2025, BazarChic had seen its turnover fall sharply over successive financial years. Published figures show that BazarChic’s turnover fell from 51 million to 38.6 million euros between the 2022 and 2024 financial years. The most recent financial year reportedly resulted in a net loss of nearly 10 million euros, with debt reaching 45 million euros.
