Officially Files to Appeal Criminal Case

Diddy‘s making good on his promise to appeal his conviction and sentence in his federal criminal case … TMZ has learned.

According to new legal docs, filed in federal court in New York and obtained by TMZ, the notice was filed Monday and lists Alexandra A.E. Shapiro as his counsel. We’re told Diddy’s team will likely file their substantive brief for the appeal within 4 to 6 weeks.

As you know … the Bad Boy mogul was sentenced back on October 3 by Judge Arun Subramanian to serve a little over 4 years in a federal prison.

He was convicted on 2 charges of transportation across state lines for the purpose of prostitution, AKA the Mann Act.

Diddy was acquitted on the more serious counts of racketeering and sex trafficking.

He still hasn’t been assigned to a prison — remaining at Brooklyn MDC, for now — though Judge Subramanian did say he thinks the mogul should serve his time as close as possible to the New York City Metropolitan area.

Diddy’s attorneys asked the court to recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that Diddy be shipped off to the low-security federal correctional institution FCI Fort Dix, in New Jersey.

TMZ Sports has obtained dispatch audio stemming from the alleged Sherrone Moore assault … with a woman claiming he attacked her at her home on Wednesday after stalking her for months.

The audio states a call was made from a Michigan football employee’s address in Ann Arbor, Michigan around 4 PM.

The employee — who has worked for the Wolverines for years — was the executive assistant to the head coach, the position Moore held until he was fired for having an inappropriate relationship with a fellow staffer.

It is unclear if the employee was the woman allegedly attacked … or if the incident just so happened to take place at her home.

The employee’s name started to trend shortly after the news broke of Moore’s termination … with several unverified reports stating she was involved in the scandal.

The employee has since deleted several social media accounts.

As we previously reported, Moore is currently behind bars at the Washtenaw County Jail as the investigation continues … and cops said minutes ago he is slated to go before a judge on Friday.

A Florida man is getting the help he desperately needs … after a video of him getting hit by a car while running through traffic went viral.

As you can see in the video … the unidentified man is hit by a car as he jogs through a busy intersection … but he pops right back up and keeps trotting.

Miami police tell TMZ … the incident happened Monday — and the unidentified man was placed under Florida’s Baker Act, an involuntary temporary mental health hold.

Police told us the man is a military veteran and was “high on some drug.”

We’re told the driver of the car went to the nearest police station to report the incident … and then, we assume, to the car wash.

It’s always your own people! Kim Kardashian revealed she doesn’t have to go online to face mean commenters … she’s got them right in her own house!

The reality star shared some of the wild things her kids say to her in this week’s episode of “The Kardashians.”

Kim joked, “Any time I need a reality check — any time I need to be so humbled — I just go home.”

She explained … “One kid will be like, ‘You’re so lame! I can’t believe you don’t know what this word means.’ Or just like, ‘Uh, when are you gonna get a facelift like Lovey?’ My kids will say crazy things, and I’m just like… ‘Huh…’”

“Lovey” is, of course, matriarch Kris Jenner, who reportedly had the cosmetic procedure done earlier this year. She first turned heads with her new, more youthful appearance in May at Lauren Sanchez Bezos‘ star-studded bachelorette party.
