Let ‘em Run Bounce-Back Review (9/19/26) and Preview of Churchill Downs (9/26/26)
Let ‘em Run had a major bounce-back week, delivering some big winners in the late P5 at Parx, including a dead-center bull’s-eye on The Pennsylvania Derby winner, The Puma. Our P5 ticket was updated live on our podcast at 12:30 on Saturday after critical scratches impacted our original structure. Our goal is always to make sure you have the opportunity to pick up these vital adjustments and make it seamless for you to tune into the podcast. We powered all the way to the final leg alive with four horses and “will-pays” squarely on our radar. Here is the full breakdown of how we made out.
Parx Race 11 Breakdown
The #6 Wild Vine started the sequence for us on a great note (we started with the 5, 6, 10) and paid a nice $20.20 to get our momentum rolling. The post-time favorite, #10 Saudi Crown, ultimately finished in 4th place.
Parx Race 12 Breakdown
We had the winner, #8 Stradle, on our radar, and she came through to pay $5.20 to keep our ticket moving forward. The #10 Captivator struggled with the deep surface at Parx, exactly as John Kostin had predicted on-air (we had 5, 6, 8, and 10 on our ticket here).
Parx Race 13 Breakdown
On the podcast, we strongly touted the winner, #2 Bodacious Bay, trained by Saffie Joseph Jr. The angles pointed squarely to this runner, and the three horses we held on our ticket (2, 4, 8) swept the trifecta. The winner paid $12.20 to keep our sequence alive.
Parx Race 14 Breakdown
The race of the day, the Grade 1 Pennsylvania Derby, did not disappoint. The #6 The Puma made an eye-catching move on the backstretch and bravely held off #7 Further Ado, who was closing fast. We highlighted several key angles for why The Puma was our top choice in our preview, and followed it up on the podcast (holding 3 and 6 on the ticket).
Parx Race 15 Breakdown
We were four deep here (5, 6, 8, 10) and feeling great about our chances down the stretch. The race was won by the #3 Coach Bennett, trained by local conditioner Robert “Butch” Reid. The winner paid $21.80 and keyed a massive P5 payout of $8,277 if you put it all together.
