Bro’s BRISnet Play of the Day for Wednesday, Feb. 4

The midweek racing card at Tampa Bay Downs presents bettors with another opportunity to find value and capitalize on smart handicapping angles, with the help of BRISnet. With competitive fields, intriguing pace scenarios, and improving runners throughout the lineup, Wednesday’s action offers plenty for racing fans and serious players to analyze before heading to the windows.

For Let ‘em Run, the focus remains on identifying runners who combine favorable pace dynamics, strong BRISnet ratings, and trainer or jockey trends that signal a potential breakthrough performance. Today’s Play of the Day zeroes in on a turf contest that could reward bettors willing to trust both statistical indicators and race shape projections as the field loads into the gate.

Let ‘em Run Play of the Day for Wednesday 2/4/2026

Let’s do this again, and head to Tampa Bay Downs for our Bro’s BRISnet Play of the Day, Tampa Bay Downs Race 8.

Race Overview

Race 8 will open the gates at 4:25 EST, with a full field of 10 runners (and 2 AE’s), so there will be good value in the race to take a look at. The race is 1 1/16 miles on Turf, for fillies and mares, four years old, and upward, and have never won 2 races. So let’s break down our play, and provide angles to look for when you use Brisnet.com to help you handicap.

Pace and Key Horse

Pace in this race is in short demand, so when we look at #7 Life Advice 3-1, the speed this runner can bring to the table attracts our attention. She is also the only “E” in the race, and this BRISnet rating gives her a good chance to get the lead. USEarly Pace is 113, again, tops in the field. But the most telling statistic is the 62% when starting for the 2nd time with trainer Juan Arriaganda, who is already dropping in at 30% overall.

I like 3rd off the layoff, and the switch to top turf jockey Antomio Gallarado. The morning line of 3-1 may drop down a bit, but in the 2-1 or better range, I am making a strong win bet. I will also look to go for an Exacta of 7 / 3,4,5,6 for $5, if the odds are 2-1 or better on our pick. Check out the attached clip here to get more info.

Betting Strategy

$25 win (if 2-1 or better)
$5 Ex 7 / 3,4,5,6
Total Investment $45

Closing Thoughts

Stay tuned for my partner John Kostin, as he will also be posting his “JK BRISnet Play of the Day” soon. And as we always say, “bet smart, cheer hard, remember fast horses can lead to serious fun”.

Until next time, Let ‘em Run.
