Jessica Simpson was seen hanging out recently with none other than her hubby Eric Johnson amid their split and rumors they’re getting a divorce, TMZ has learned.

TMZ obtained exclusive photos showing the estranged couple spending time in Carlsbad, California, last Monday with their kids and a couple of older folks who looked like Eric’s parents.

Eyewitnesses tell us Eric and Jessica seemed distant with their 3 young children — daughters Maxwell and Birdie, and son Ace — standing in between them. We’re told the kids appeared to be in good spirits, but Jessica didn’t crack a smile based on our pics.

Lately, Jessica hasn’t had much to smile about. In March … Jessica announced on Instagram she and Eric were living separately and navigating through a painful situation in their 10-year marriage.

Their marital issues had been building for a while. Last November, Jessica posted a cryptic Instagram with sexy photos of herself in a music studio that made fans speculate her marriage was on the rocks.

Jessica wrote, “Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic. This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve .”

Many fans interpreted her caption to mean she was single and had split from Eric, with her new music being a breakup album.

One day later … TMZ broke the story … at least 2 people close to Jessica had called divorce attorneys, telling them the singer’s unhappy in her marriage while trying to set up meetings between her and the lawyers.

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan aren’t worried about being on the radar of some powerful federal prosecutors in New York … their lawyer’s brushing off an SDNY investigation as “merely a formality.”

In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, the Tate brothers’ attorney, Joseph McBride, confirms the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York is investigating Andrew and Tristan … and then said the probe is no biggie.

McBride claims he talked Monday with Assistant United States Attorney Jacqueline Kelly about the Tate investigation … he says he asked Kelly whether Andrew and Tristan needed to come in for questioning and claims he was told they did not.

Unclear how far along the investigation is, but McBride says … “We respectfully assert that the lack of an indictment, along with the absence of any requirement to appear for questioning or any request for a statement, indicates that the SDNY’s investigation is merely a formality.”

As we reported … the probe first came to light as part of a legal filing from the $5 million defamation lawsuit the Tate brothers filed last year against an unidentified woman and 3 others, where the Tates claim the defendants’ allegations prompted Romanian officials to criminally charge the brothers.

Meanwhile, Andrew is dealing with 2 other investigations in the United States … one in Florida and another in Beverly Hills, where his ex-girlfriend filed a police report claiming he sexually assaulted her. Tristan is also being looked at in a Florida probe in which Governor Ron DeSantis announced the brothers were not welcome in the Sunshine State.

Andrew and Tristan are also facing human trafficking charges in Romania, and they recently returned to that country for a court date in their case.

The Tates have not yet been convicted, or found liable, in any of the legal matters they’re facing … and it seems they aren’t too concerned about the SDNY snooping around.

Tell that to Diddy, who is being prosecuted for sex trafficking by the SDNY.

Erik and Lyle Menendez are firing back at Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman … telling him it’s stupid to compare them to Sirhan Sirhan because they actually admitted to killing their parents.

The Menendez Brothers distance themselves from RFK‘s assassin in new legal docs where they push back on Hochman’s motion to withdraw his predecessor’s motion to resentence them.

Hochman’s on the record saying Erik and Lyle should not gain their freedom, comparing their case to the denial of parole for Sirhan … but the brothers say there’s no way to seriously put them on the same plane as Sirhan.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Menendez attorney Mark Geragos says the main difference between Erik and Lyle and Sirhan is the Menendez brothers fessed up to killing their parents, while Sirhan claimed his innocence in the Kennedy assassination.

Geragos also takes some shots at Hochman … claiming the new top prosecutor in Los Angeles is conveniently leaving out facts from the Sirhan case to draw a false comparison to Erik and Lyle.

The brothers admit they initially told cops they didn’t shoot their parents before coming clean at trial about the killings and then claiming they were victims of sexual abuse at the hands of their father … and Geragos says they’re now rehabilitated after 35 years behind bars and no longer pose a threat to society.
