Prosecutors in New Mexico are holding court over the Timothy Busfield child sex abuse case … and say they can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he’s guilty as charged.

Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman, who is running for New Mexico governor, held a news conference Thursday in Albuquerque on the Busfield case … saying it felt necessary given all the media attention around the celeb defendant.

Bregman didn’t want to talk facts of the case, but he gave an update on Busfield’s next court date and laid out a timeline of the investigation.

The award-winning actor and director is facing 3 felonies … two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of abuse of a child. He was in court yesterday, wearing an orange jail jumpsuit.

Busfield is accused of sexually abusing two child actors who had roles in the TV show, “The Cleaning Lady,” which Busfield directed and produced. The show was filmed in New Mexico and in 2022, Busfield allegedly molested the boys, who were 7 and 8 at the time of the alleged abuse, while they were on set, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors claim Busfield “exploited the chaotic filming environment to isolate the children — conduct consistent with grooming behaviors recognized in child sexual abuse cases.”

In court documents filed this week, Busfield was faced with a third allegation of sexual abuse … this time from a father who claimed Busfield kissed his daughter and shoved his hands down her pants when she was 16 years old and auditioning for him at B Street Theatre in Sacramento, CA. The alleged incident happened about 25 years ago.

The girl’s father is a therapist and claims Busfield begged him not to report the alleged incident to police, promising to seek therapy instead. The father agreed with Busfield at the time, believing it was the best course of action.

Busfield’s ripped the charges against him in New Mexico as “lies” … but he’s reportedly been dropped by his talent agency.

Kristy Scott filing for divorce from her husband Desmond Scott doesn’t seem to be bothering him one bit — ’cause just days later, he was spotted getting hot and heavy with another woman … and TMZ’s got the proof!

It’s still unclear if the woman in the video is the one at the center of those claims, but Desmond did break his silence once the split went public, admitting he made “choices” he’s “not proud of.”

The scoreboard could barely keep up on Tuesday night when Maryvale High School senior guard Adrian Stubbs went bananas and made history with a 100-point outing — in just three quarters!!!

We caught up with the hoops star fresh off his incredible performance … and yeah, even he is a bit shocked.

“It feels very unreal, very unbelievable,” Stubbs told TMZ Sports. “Shots were falling this game more than they usually do in every other game. I just kept hitting and my teammates kept giving me the ball and the greenlight to go.”

Stubbs started cooking early and never let up. He had 70 points by halftime on his way to the century mark … scoring all but nine points in a 109-25 victory over Kofa High.

While he wasn’t aiming for triple digits, he had a number in mind. Stubbs’ previous career high was 56 points — one shy of the 6A state record of 57. The previous overall state record was 75.

Now Stubbs stands alone, becoming the 21st high school boy nationally to ever reach the century mark.

“Once he pressed down on the gas, he just kept going and it was really fun to watch,” Maryvale coach Jeremy Smith said.

Stubbs had three fouls in the first quarter, nearly costing him his big night … but he kept putting the ball through the hoop even when he was being triple-teamed.

He’s not a guy who just chucks up shots, either — Smith averages nearly seven assists and had a triple-double earlier this season at the Phoenix-area high school.
