Australia-based fashion/lifestyle retailer Cotton On is launching its childrenswear brand Cotton On Kids online in the UK this autumn.
Claiming to have become Australia’s largest global fashion brand since opening its online store in 2021, the brand’s proposed UK launch “follows strong growth [in our] local market” for its offer across “effortless fashion” for women’s, men’s, kid’s, body and accessories.
And its USP in the children’s market is based on “quality, on-trend fashion for newborns and kids, delivering organic baby favourites, playground essentials and fun party outfits that are perfect for play”.
It says this has made Cotton On Kids Australia’s “only global children’s and baby fashion brand”, with 207 domestic standalone stores and retail sites across 11 countries.
Cotton On Brands’ managing director Bianca Ginns says its latest move makes global momentum “stronger than ever”.
“Globally we’re… resonating deeply with our customers across all brands, building loyalty, driving long-term growth and continuing to position us as a global leader in effortless fashion.
“The launch of Cotton On Kids in the UK marks an exciting new chapter. We know UK parents and kids are looking for on-trend, cool and accessible fashion options, and we’re here to deliver just that.”
The UK e-commerce launch comes as the brand also releases its new ‘Fun Day Club’ globally, moving the brand beyond product and building an initiative that “fosters sharing, understanding and the reality of being a parent, while helping create more moments for parents to connect with their kids, bringing joy, creativity and energy fit for everyday adventures”.
The wider business, incorporating eight brands (Cotton On, Cotton On Body, Cotton On Kids, Rubi, Typo, Supré, Factorie and Ceres Life), now spans “1,500 stores, 10 e-commerce shop sites, 10 global distribution centres, over 30 wholesale accounts and over 10 million loyalty members”.
