Arket to open Dublin flagship this year

Arket may be known for taking its opening programme slowly and steadily. But it’s been accelerating it of late and its most recent announcement is that it will make an entry into the Irish market later this year.

It will debut in the heart of the Irish capital’s key shopping area with an opening at Unit 3, Grafton Place on Nassau Street.

It will be the 17th country market for the H&M Group-owned brand that launched originally in London back in 2017. And while its country numbers across Europe, China, and South Korea haven’t yet reached 20, it also sells online in 31 markets.

The 8,700 sq ft Dublin store will, like other locations around the world, sell the brand’s women’s, men’s, kids’ and homewares, as well as selected third-party brands. It will also feature its signature Nordic-style cafe.

The Dublin news comes just a month after the company said it would be opening physically in Greece for the first time this year with a debut in Athens.

Arket’s MD Pernilla Wohlfahrt said Athens “with its unique blend of ancient heritage and vibrant contemporary culture, provides the perfect backdrop for our modern design destination”.
