London’s Angel Central has two pieces of good news to report. The Islington, north London, shopping area said it’s enjoying a strong start to the year with solid Q1 results and “record-breaking” footfall while also announcing the arrival of Therapié Clinic in its retail roster.
Angel Central’s sales were up 12.4% compared to Q1,2024 while like-for-like sales also rose 4.4%, “highlighting the success that existing brands are experiencing alongside new arrivals such as Mango, Oliver Bonas, and KIKO”, it said.
Footfall jumped to a record-breaking 8.4% against both Q1 in 2024 and the pre-pandemic 2019, “driven by Angel Central’s active approach to facilitating on-site events and supporting its community, such as its sustainable markets and collaborations with local groups”.
And sustaining Angel Central’s success, Therapié Clinic has opened a 2,172 sq ft facility, joining other health and wellbeing brands such as Rituals, Holland & Barrett, L’Occitane, and Frame.
With around 75 clinics across the UK, Ireland and the US and employing over 200 doctors, the centres services include laser hair removal, doctor-led cosmetic injections and advanced skin treatments.
Simon Prince, Investment manager at CBRE Investment Management, said: “Angel Central is continuing to perform at a high level. Visitor numbers are increasing, sales are exceeding previous years, and we have a fully let ground floor with brands excelling. Our strong performance is a testament to the solid relationship we foster with our brands and the community, and Therapié Clinic is a new and exciting use to add our destination, underlining our commitment to delivering a dynamic and engaging experience for all.”
