Alex Vindman to kick off state tour, meeting with labor and party leaders

He will begin his ‘Cut Costs & Crush Corruption’ tour with stops in Ocala and Gainesville on Tuesday.

Democratic Senate candidate Alex Vindman is set to launch a statewide candidate tour focused on affordability.

The move comes after he outraised Republican incumbent U.S. Sen. Ashley Moody in the first quarter of the year by $5 million.

“While my opponent Ashley Moody spends her time trading stocks and cozying up to special interests while ignoring her constituents, I’m traveling across the state to meet with Florida voters and make sure they know I am the only candidate in this race who is ready to cut costs and fight corruption,” Vindman said.

“Florida families are struggling with the high cost of gas, groceries, and housing because career politicians like Ashley Moody have left them in the dust. Floridians are ready for leaders who will fight for them and not the special interests, and I’m the only person in this race who is ready to shake things up in D.C. so that Florida is affordable again.”

The “Cut Costs & Crush Corruption” Tour will kick off Tuesday when Vindman meets with veterans in Ocala and labor leaders in Gainesville.

On Wednesday, he will meet with state lawmakers in Tallahassee, where he is expected to file all of his qualification paperwork.  He then will make a campaign stop in a local pizzeria.

On Thursday, Vindman plans to meet with local labor leaders in Miami, where he has planned multiple stops.

He will spend Friday and Saturday in Tampa, attending a community event and meeting with local Cuban leaders.

Vindman will wrap the week on Sunday in Moody’s hometown of Plant City, where he plans to meet with Black leaders. He also will make multiple stops in St. Lucie with Latino leaders and other voters.

Vindman has worked to make the case that the Senate race could be competitive this year despite a significant increase in the last few years of registered Republicans over Democrats. Two polls released this month show him within striking distance of the appointed incumbent.
