Brooke Hogan came out swinging in a statement of her own after her mother, Linda Hogan, tearfully called the Hogan family “the worst mess” and claimed she has no idea why her daughter won’t speak to her.
Brooke shared a lengthy note on Instagram Thursday night, explaining she had no contact with her mom after being “EXTREMELY” verbally and mentally abused since her childhood, which she said sometimes turned physical. She also says her mother’s behavior in the video she posted Thursday is “mild” compared to what she has witnessed for the “greater portion” of her life.
Further explaining her frustration, the singer and actress says she’s been asked to “defend poor behavior to the public and have done so out of love” … only to learn she was “misinformed, manipulated, and lied to.”
She adds, “Still to this day I face constant ridicule for those poor decisions of others. I’ve watched others benefit financially off my suffering and embarrassment caused by their selfish behavior.”
Brooke goes on to say she forgave her family time and time again for their “nasty” behavior, which caused “massive” blows to her personal and professional life … because she wanted to see the good in her family.
She notes, “I’ve repeatedly held my hand out to them, only to have them pull me into the darkness with them. I’ve set boundaries that were not respected, and at this point, I can truly do no more.”
Setting the record straight about her decision to go without contact with her mom and her father, Hulk Hogan, plus his second and third wives, Brooke confirms her relationships with all parties have nothing to do with one another.
She clarifies, “This decision was made based purely on how they have each dealt with me directly my entire life.”
In addition to airing out her dirty laundry with Brooke … Linda broke down in tears Thursday over her failed marriage to Hulk, saying she’s still “sad” about their split 20 years later. She also called him a “complete liar” and “sex addict.”
Meanwhile, she had praises to sing for their son, Nick, who she called “such a good boy.”

Kim Delaney looks like she’s smoothed things over with her husband … loving on him for his birthday a few days after he told cops she tried to use her car to hurt him.
The former “NYPD Blue” star got her hubby, James Morgan, a bouquet of flowers Thursday for his 55th birthday.
Kim proudly showed off the gift with a social media post … saying, “Birthday Boy, 55!!!!! Your wife loves you, my guy!” She also added a song, Chris Stapleton‘s “Joy of My Life.”
No mention of the alleged domestic incident between the two over the weekend … and folks in the comments are confused by what’s going with Kim and James.

TMZ broke the story … Kim was arrested Saturday for assault likely to cause great bodily injury against her husband, who was also arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence.
Cops say Kim and James were fighting for two days before their arrests … with the first incident happening Friday night, when Kim called police and made a domestic violence report against James.
Police say James left their home after Friday’s alleged incident and returned Saturday morning … prompting Kim to call the cops again. Sheriffs deputies responded and say James told them Kim tried to hit him with her car and showed them video of her alleged attack.
Kim appeared in court Tuesday morning and prosecutors declined to file charges against her or her husband.
She’s off the hook and it looks like she’s back with her husband.

Mel Gibson is having his right to bear arms restored … and his support for President Trump sounds like it’s playing a big role.
Trump’s Justice Department is going to allow Mel to own guns again despite him pleading no contest in 2011 to a battery charge involving his former girlfriend, a legal issue that made it impossible for him to buy firearms … according to the New York Times.
Mel is one of 10 people with convictions who are getting back their gun rights, the NYT reported Thursday, and Mel’s inclusion sparked a fierce debate at the top of the Justice Department … a disagreement that allegedly resulted in a couple firings.
The former U.S. pardon attorney, Elizabeth G. Oyer, was reportedly fired earlier this month after she opposed restoring actor Mel’s gun rights … according to NBC News. Oyer told the Times she was told to change her stance on Gibson because he “has a personal relationship with President Trump.”
The NYT reports Attorney General Pam Bondi ultimately signed off on Mel getting his gun rights returned.
Mel reportedly tried to buy a weapon in Nevada but was denied because of the battery case …. but now the feds are giving him the green light to stay strapped.
