The Costa Rican hotel where Brett Gardner‘s family vacationed is taking precautions amid the investigation into Miller‘s death … with officials telling TMZ Sports it has blocked off their room from the public as officials look into whether carbon monoxide played a factor in the tragedy.

Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) director Rándall Zúñiga revealed in a press conference that high levels of carbon monoxide were detected in the Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest resort room the Gardners reserved during their trip … and noted a “specialized machine room” was located next to their reserved space, which could have led to contamination.

The resort tells us it will continue to cooperate with the investigation … but “out of an abundance of caution, the room in question has been blocked until further notice.”

While the family waits for answers, 14-year-old Miller’s body was released back to his family. In an obituary posted to a local South Carolina newspaper, the family asked for donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in his memory.

A doctor who allegedly tried to kill his wife by pushing her off a cliff in Hawaii harbored “extreme jealousy” and once accused her of having an affair … at least according to his spouse.

Gerhardt Konig — a 46-year-old anesthesiologist who works on Maui — is accused of trying to murder his wife Arielle last month during a scenic stroll on Oahu.

He was charged Wednesday with second-degree attempted murder — prosecutors say he attacked his wife at the famous Pali Lookout — and on Thursday she filed for court-ordered protection.

Arielle claims Gerhardt was prone to “extreme jealousy,” accused her of having an extramarital affair in December and was “attempting to control and monitor” all of her communications … according to the restraining order, obtained by TMZ.

She says they married in 2018 and have two children … but were going to couples therapy and counseling in an effort to salvage their marriage. She said they traveled from their home on Maui to Oahu for her 36th birthday and that’s when he allegedly attacked her.

Arielle says her husband suggested hiking a trail near Pali Lookout, and when she refused to take a selfie with him on the hike, Arielle claims he went berserk … allegedly trying to push her off the cliffside trail. She also claims he punched her, smashed her with a rock, and tried to jab her with syringes.

She says it’s unclear what was in the syringes but in the docs, she notes her husband has access to “potentially lethal medications as part of his employment.”

Arielle also claims her husband called one of his children from another marriage on FaceTime after the alleged attack and told them, “I just tried to kill Ari, but she got away.”

Terrell Suggs has just been sentenced to probation over allegations he waved a firearm at a man during a 2024 altercation at an Arizona Starbucks.

The former NFL superstar learned the punishment inside a Maricopa County courtroom on Tuesday morning.

The judge in the case ordered Suggs to 18 months of supervised probation — but told the ex-Baltimore Ravens pass rusher he “can get off in half that time … if you’ve done everything you’re supposed to.”

Suggs — who wore a dark-colored sweater over a collared shirt for the proceedings — stated just before the order was handed down that he was “ready to get on with my life.”

“This has been hanging on with me for a year,” he said … before adding that the incident was “a momentary bad decision.”

The case, of course, stems from a run-in Suggs had with a man as he was trying to get coffee while out in Scottsdale over a year ago. Officials say Suggs quarreled with the guy in the drive-through … and at one point, “recklessly displayed a firearm” in a threatening manner.

Suggs was initially hit with two charges over the claims — one count of threatening or intimidating and one count of disorderly conduct. He ultimately reached a deal with prosecutors in February … when he agreed to submit a guilty plea to the disorderly conduct charge in exchange for the dropping of the other count.
