Alec Baldwin contemplated suicide after the “Rust” shooting and would change places with Halyna Hutchins in a second … so says his wife, Hilaria.

In the second episode of the Baldwin family’s new reality show, Hilaria reveals how Alec talked about wanting to kill himself in the days after Halyna was fatally shot on set in 2021.

Alec was the one who pulled the trigger of the gun that killed Halyna, and Hilaria says her husband still struggles with survivor’s guilt.

There have also been court cases and lawsuits … and everyone involved has been put through the wringer.

Hilaria says things have been really hard on Alec but she’s hoping they are getting close to a light at the end of the tunnel.

Erik and Lyle Menendez will NOT have their day in court this month … because their upcoming resentencing hearing has been postponed, and it’s all because of California Governor Gavin Newsom.

The Menendez Brothers were set to enter a courtroom March 20 and 21 for the first time since their 1990s murder trials … but now their resentencing hearing is delayed because Newsom ordered an investigation into whether they are fit to return to public life.

Resentencing is now irrelevant for Erik and Lyle, with Newsom short-circuiting the whole process by directing the state’s Board of Parole Hearings to conduct a “risk assessment investigation” on the brothers.

Lyle reacted to the news on social media, posting a message on Facebook from his San Diego prison … telling his family and supporters to “Hang tight, be patient, and keep the faith.”

TMZ broke the story … Newsom told us experts will analyze “what led each brother to commit their offense, and if they have done the transformational work needed — and gained the skills — to avoid repeating their mistakes.”

The major, unexpected development came one week after Erik and Lyle appeared on TMZ’s “2 Angry Men” podcast, where they told Harvey and Mark Geragos (their attorney) about their lives behind bars.

Newsom told us the parole board will get the results of the risk assessment in a few months and hold a parole hearing … which is one path to freedom. The governor also has the power to grant clemency to the Menendez bros.

Chelsea Handler and Ralph Fiennes are spending time together and having some fun … giving things a trial run before possibly making their relationship official.

The comedian and the “Conclave” star sparked romance rumors this weekend after being photographed leaving the Vanity Fair Oscar Party together … and now we know a little something about their status.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Chelsea and Ralph are testing the waters and keeping things casual for now, they’re not exclusive or officially dating just having fun.

Chelsea said Ralph “played a ruthless Nazi, an evil lord and a celibate cardinal, and somehow you’ve made me want to have sex with you in all roles.” She then begged him not to play Vladimir Putin, because “I can’t do that again.”

They also flirted during Chelsea’s bit about “Baby Girl.”

As for the Oscars after-party hangout … our sources say Chelsea and Ralph left the Vanity Fair bash together, hopped in a car and went to Madonna‘s Oscar’s bash, where they partied until very late into the morning. However, not too late because Chelsea posted on her Instagram on Monday thanking Seattle fans for coming to the signing of her new book, ‘I’ll Have What She’s Having.’

Chelsea and Ralph are both single and have some famous exes … as we first reported, Chelsea and Jo Koy called off their relationship in 2022 after nearly a year of dating. Fiennes was married to actress Alex Kingston in the 1990s and has since been linked to actress Francesca Annis.
