Miami Beach is giving party animals a dose of reality … the city says Spring Break isn’t all it’s cracked up to be … hammering the point home with a fun new video campaign.

“Miami Beach Spring Break Reality Check” is the city’s new slogan this year … and the video features a bunch of young people coming to town with big plans to party their faces off.

As the party people in the video find out, $100 parking, curfews, security check points, DUI enforcement and a heavy police presence await in Miami Beach this year.

It’s enough to make them have the worst Spring Break ever … and that’s OK with the city … because things went off the rails a few years ago.

Miami Beach “broke up” with spring breakers last year and things were a little more tame … and it looks like the city is going back to the well.

Americans are having a shell of a hard time keeping up with soaring egg prices … but Chef Andrew Zimmern has a solution — look at foreign breakfast menus for some inspiration.

TMZ caught up with the four-time James Beard Award-winning chef and TV personality … and he thinks a no-brainer way to save some dollars is to quit the “egg-laden” American breakfast and try out some swaps from cultures that don’t necessarily use eggs as a staple of their diets.

Zimmern specifically applauds Japan and Italy for having filling breakfasts without eggs. The Asian country incorporates grilled fish, rice, pickles and soup into their morning meals … while Italians reach for meat, cheese and toast, with some ricotta and jam.

He says he’s not too hopeful egg prices will come down any time soon … citing the highly infectious bird flu, supply and demand, and recent presidential executive orders impacting everything from who picks our food to who cooks it. He believes if people explore diets with fewer eggs, some pressure will be taken off the market.

For those who are still dizzied by the high cost of eggs … Lisa Steele, a 5th generation chicken keeper and founder of Fresh Eggs Daily, tells TMZ … eggs are still generally affordable when compared to the prices of other groceries.

If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl on Sunday, don’t count on seeing Andy Reid riding off into any sunsets … his good buddy, Dick Vermeil, tells TMZ Sports there’s no chance the coach retires following the big game.

At 66 years old and with over three decades of work in the NFL, there’s been some question as to whether or not Reid could hang up his headset if he hoists yet another Lombardi Trophy … but Vermeil says it just won’t happen.

The former Kansas City head coach tells us Reid’s still in love with the game … and he’s locked into a long-term contract as well.

The victory would give Reid his fourth championship … and his third in a row — totals that Vermeil believes puts A.R. in coaching Mt. Rushmore territory.

“I think he’s going to go down as an equal to Lombardi, an equal to Bill Belichick — those kind of guys,” Vermeil said. “Bill Parcells, Tom Landrys of the world. Just a great, great coach.”
