Why are Pudding Fingers Ron DeSantis’ fingernails so dirty?
As speculation builds that Ron DeSantis is gearing up for another White House run, a major question has emerged about the Governor. Why the hell were his fingernails so dirty when he presented Donald Trump that ridiculous “YOU MISSED” coin?
The Washington Post’s Nancy Cook reported Friday that DeSantis is preparing to seek the 2028 Republican nomination. He has reached out to at least one national consultant.
DeSantis disputed the story on social media: “I have not reached out to anybody about running for anything.”
One of the people he should call first is a manicurist. Here is why.
On Oct. 23, Trump landed at Southwest Florida International Airport ahead of his Fort Myers rally. DeSantis met him on the tarmac and presented a custom gold coin. It shows a grinning Trump flipping the bird under the words “YOU MISSED, BITCHES.” DeSantis said a friend in Florida made it. Then he held it up for the cameras.

Look at Ron’s hands. There is dirt packed under both thumbnails. The cuticles look like they lost a fight.
Now, we know DeSantis wasn’t doing manual labor. The Governor does not change his own oil. So what’s the deal, Meatball?
A couple of people I’ve shown this photo to have a gnarlier explanation. Their theory is that Ron DeSantis was digging in his ass right before he handed the President of the United States a coin.
It’s not like DeSantis is known for his personal hygiene.
In 2023, The Daily Beast reported DeSantis once ate chocolate pudding with three fingers on a flight. MAGA Inc., the super PAC backing Trump, turned it into a 30-second ad called Pudding Fingers, ending with “get this man a spoon.” DeSantis told Piers Morgan he didn’t remember ever doing that. The name stuck.
Three years later, Pudding Fingers has not learned a thing.
If DeSantis is serious about 2028, somebody get this man a manicure. The Iowa State Fair involves a lot of handshakes.
