Konrad Bien-Stephen — a contestant on season 7 of “The Bachelorette Australia” — has died. He reportedly passed Monday night in Melbourne, but no details have been released.
On Thursday, his management confirmed his death “with deep sadness” in a statement to Variety Australia, saying … “We ask that you respect the privacy of their family during this incredibly difficult time. No further information will be shared at this stage. Our thoughts are with all who loved him.”
Konrad’s ex-girlfriend, Abbie Chatfield, shared an Instagram story to say she’d known about his passing “for a few days now” and thanked supporters for reaching out.
She wrote that she’s “devastated” for his loved ones, before adding … “I am heartbroken too.”
Abbie admitted she and Konrad “haven’t spoken for years” … but the news is “still incredibly difficult.”
“The Masked Singer Australia” panelist continued to say her ex was “a very caring man who deserved to live a very, very long life.”
Abbie urged her followers to “send love and support” to Konrad’s friends and family, as well as their own.
She wrote … “I know that Konrad would want people to share share love and kindness and if you do anything today please check in on your mates, do an act of kindness, talk to a friend. Anything.”
Konrad came in fourth on Brooke Blurton’s 2021 season of ‘The Bachelorette,’ and competed on “The Challenge: Australia” the following year.
