Florida Ports Council selects LSN Partners to lead government affairs strategy

Florida Ports are also working with Lisa Miller & Associates and Press On Communications.

The Florida Ports Council has tapped LSN Partners to handle its government relations and strategic initiatives work, assembling a team that will help shape policy and messaging for the state’s seaport system.

Under the agreement, LSN Partners will lead a broader effort that includes Lisa Miller & Associates on state-level lobbying and Press On Communications on messaging and communications strategy. The firms will work together on advocacy campaigns, industry outreach and event management tied to Florida’s maritime sector.

“We look forward to working with the Florida Ports Council,” said Cissy Proctor, managing partner of LSN Partners’ Tallahassee office. “Our team brings the experience and relationships needed to help advance the priorities of Florida’s port system while continuing to strengthen the state’s position as a global maritime leader.”

The Florida Ports Council represents Florida’s 16 public seaports and serves as the primary statewide advocate for the maritime industry. Florida’s seaports generate significant economic activity and play a critical role in international trade, supply chain logistics, and economic development throughout the state.

“Florida’s seaports are critical infrastructure for our state and for the national supply chain,” said Michael Meekins, Chair of the Florida Ports Council and Executive Director of the Port of Palm Beach. “They serve as powerful economic engines that keep goods moving, create jobs, and connect our state to the global economy.”
