Florida Policy Project rolls out speaker lineup for the Florida Housing Solutions Summit

This year’s summit will focus on policy innovation, cross-sector collaboration and scalable solutions.

Florida’s housing affordability crisis will take center stage at The James Museum in St. Petersburg this April as policymakers, advocates and industry leaders convene for the Florida Housing Solutions Summit.

The Florida Policy Project — a nonprofit founded by former Pinellas County Republican Sen. Jeff Brandes — has announced a lineup of experts set to tackle one of the state’s most pressing issues: access to attainable housing.

Speakers include Ilana Blumsack, a senior housing policy analyst with Americans for Prosperity; Andrew Gothard, Chief of Staff for Yes In My Back Yard and YIMBY Action; Brita Wallace, General Counsel for Texans for Reasonable Solutions; Lesley Deutch, managing principal at John Burns Research and Consulting; Jake Cremer, managing partner of Barbas Cremer; Kevin Erdmann, a housing researcher and author; and Mike Sutton, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside.

The summit aims to convene policymakers, housing advocates, developers and researchers to explore solutions to Florida’s housing affordability crisis.

According to the summit’s Eventbrite page, the meeting builds on success during previous years where more than 350 stakeholders convened for the event. This year’s summit will focus on policy innovation, cross-sector collaboration and scalable solutions.

Tickets range from $50 to $150, and attendees can also access a discounted room rate tied to the event at the Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown St. Petersburg. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, ranging from table sponsorship priced at $1,500 to as high as a Presenting Sponsor investment priced at $20,000.
