Wiz Khalifa is facing a potential 9-month stint in Romanian prison for weed … but he’s hoping to find an alternate solution to a definitive sentence just handed down by that country’s government!!!

Thursday, Romania’s Constanța Court of Appeal upheld an appeal filed by DIICOT Constanța Territorial Service — a prosecutor’s office in the country — to sentence the “Young, Wild & Free” rapper to 9 months … despite a previous citation that only fined him 3,000 lei — roughly $700 USD.

Sources close to Wiz inform TMZ Hip Hop that nothing is set in stone just yet … his team is currently in the process of appealing the sentence.

Wiz was arrested and briefly held following his performance at Costinești’s Beach Please! Festival in July 2024 … where he lit up a joint while dancing to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg‘s “The Next Episode.”

Joran van der Sloot — the man who confessed to killing Natalee Holloway after her 2005 disappearance — reportedly tried to commit suicide in prison Saturday.

According to Peruvian news outlet La Republica … Joran — who is incarcerated at the maximum security Challapalca Prison — was found hanging from a strip of blanket in his cell while guards were distributing breakfast.

The 38-year-old Dutch national was reportedly taken to the infirmary, where he was nursed back to stable condition.

According to the outlet, officials said the manner in which guards found Joran “suggested a possible suicide attempt.”

In the U.S., Joran was charged with attempting to sell information to Natalee’s family about where her remains are … which basically equated to extortion.

He’s set to do a 20-year bid in the U.S. once he’s done his time in Peru.

Jane’s Addiction is through … with the band announcing they’re done playing together after an onstage argument turned physical last year.

A statement was posted to the band’s Instagram page Wednesday … which seeks to further explain the immediate aftermath of the brawl between Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro in September 2024.

The band acknowledges members made “inaccurate statements” about Farrell’s mental health at the time and apologizes to him … before revealing the band recently reconvened in order to resolve their differences.

During a show in Boston, Perry shoved and then punched Navarro — which ended the show prematurely and ultimately led to their tour’s cancellation. Farrell publicly apologized to the band in the aftermath of the incident.

The breakup writing’s been on the wall for months … because Dave sued Perry for assault and battery earlier this year — while Perry responded by suing Dave and the other two members — Stephen Perkins and Eric Avery — for allegedly bullying him for years.

It’s unclear if the lawsuits will continue to move forward … because on the same day Jane’s Addiction announced the split, Farrell issued another apology for the incident.
