Baby Jesus Tied Up in Church Nativity Manger

If Jesus comes to the U.S., he’d better have a valid visa … at least that’s the worry of an Illinois church that’s installed a controversial Nativity scene depicting the baby messiah zip-tied in a manger.
Lake Street Church of Evanston — just north of Chicago — reimagined the Nativity with masked centurions wearing green vests labeled “ICE” surrounding the Holy Family. Mother Mary and Joseph wear respirator masks to shield themselves from tear gas, according to the church.
In a Facebook post, the church explained the scene is meant to draw “direct parallels between the Holy Family’s refugee experience and contemporary immigration detention practices.” The book of Matthew claims Jesus and his parents fled to Egypt in order to escape King Herod’s order that every boy in Bethlehem under 2 be executed.
And not for nothing … Bethlehem does reside in the West Bank, which today would make him Palestinian.
“This installation is not subtle because the crisis it addresses is not abstract,” the church wrote. “We hope viewers will join the conversation about what sanctuary means when families fleeing violence are met with separation, detention, and dehumanization.”
They continued … “We further hope that conversation will move people to action, regardless of faith or philosophical background.”
This isn’t the first time Lake Street Church has staged a themed Nativity scene. According to the Chicago Tribune, the house of worship arranged one showing Baby Jesus stuck amid rubble in honor of the civilians trapped in the war in Gaza.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported a senior minister at Lake Street Church — Rev. Michael Woolf — was arrested last month at an ICE protest outside of a deportation processing facility in Broadview, Illinois.

If January Jones ever lets her intrusive thoughts win, she could end up on trial for murder … at least according to a video she posted, joking about what she might do to her brother-in-law if he doesn’t stop annoying her.
In the Instagram video, the Emmy-nominated actress explained she’s had misophonia for as long as she can remember, and it’s gotten “progressively worse” over the years.
The condition causes one to feel anxiety or disgust at sounds like chewing or tapping.
And what’s not making it better is her brother-in-law, whose favorite food is chips. She says he crunches on them all the time, even after she’s talked to him about it.
She said, “He seems to think it’s funny to eat chips around me now. It’s like an ongoing joke to see what happens — to see what I do.”
Well … he might FAFO. She playfully called it “very dangerous for him,” saying, “What I didn’t do today was record this video inside a prison,” because of her restraint.
She joked that she’s imagined many ways to do “it” — “it” ostensibly being murder in the first degree.
This was all in good fun, of course, as JJ said her brother-in-law is an otherwise nice guy, and wished him a happy birthday.

Christmas came a little bit early this year … Kim Kardashian already gifted us with some insanely hot holiday pics from her “Kimsmas” TikTok Live special.

Kim teamed shared pics with mom Kris Jenner, rapper Snoop Dogg and others from the SKIMS holiday livestream, but it was all eyes on her and that plunging neckline that drew eyeballs.
The aspiring lawyer showed off a whole heck of a lotta cleavage in a white babydoll dress, highlighting all of her luscious curves.
And her other look was just as tantalizing … she sent heart rates soaring in a form-fitting snow-bunny number, which accentuated her hourglass figure.
In addition to Snoop and her mom, Kim also posed with “Love Island” hunk Nicolas Vansteenberghe, who showed off his washboard abs in red flannel pajamas.
The first-ever “Kimsmas” went live Wednesday and featured 45 minutes of entertainment and giveaways.

Throws Chair In Anger After Loss

Doug Gottlieb went full Bobby Knight Thursday night after his University of Wisconsin-Green Bay squad blew an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter … tossing a chair as he made his way to the locker room.
Cameras in the arena caught the second-year head coach losing his cool in reaction to Robert Morris erasing a double-digit Phoenix lead in the final three minutes of play with a game-winning layup with 2.4 left on the clock.

Gottlieb disappeared behind the bleachers as he left … only for a chair to come flying into view and smack against the wall.
“I’m encouraged by our effort and our defense and how we executed,” Gottlieb said following the L. “That was just embarrassing how we lost the game.”

Folks on social couldn’t help but think about the late legend after watching Gottlieb’s antics.
While the former Indiana men’s basketball coach pulled his stunt during the middle of a game against Purdue in 1985, people couldn’t help but compare the two throws!
The university will have a few extra days to find a new chair … as the team returns to action this Sunday against the Wright State Raiders.
