A fishing vessel off the coast of Massachusetts made a shocking discovery while out in the water last week … pulling up a dead body in their net — and, TMZ has obtained a photo of the grisly scene.

A source with direct knowledge tells TMZ … the fishermen pulled the body out of the water early Wednesday morning about forty miles from Boston.

We’re told the crew wasn’t pulling up much in the way of fish that morning … and, they were surprised when this particular net was so heavy — with tons of fish covering the body.

You can see the body for yourself … warning, it’s a very graphic photo — but, it appears to be a person in a suit with a strap encircling their body, keeping their arms flush to the sides.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office confirmed all the information from our source and tells TMZ … they are aware of the body — though as of right now they can’t confirm the name, age or even gender.

As to whether they’re treating this as a potential homicide … the D.A. says, “No conclusions at this point. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy. That may help provide some answers.”

Detective Melissa Mercado — the NYPD detective who went viral for appearing as a stripper in a raunchy music video — has been taken off active sex crimes cases pending the results of a police review.

Law enforcement sources confirm to TMZ … Melissa — who is known as a good investigator — isn’t catching active cases in the Special Victims Unit, which looks into alleged sex crimes, while under review.

We’re told police officials have to determine if she submitted off-duty paperwork … documents every NYPD officer must file if they’re working another job off the clock.

As of now, it’s unclear if Melissa violated any NYPD rules and regulations by appearing in the “Doin That” video in a bra and G-string. The New York Post was first to report on the police review of Melissa.

ICYMI … Melissa went viral after appearing as a stripper in the video by NYC rapper S-Quire — throwing it back in the club, a VIP room and even appearing on a bed in lingerie.

We spoke with S-Quire and the music video’s director Pitch Perfect earlier this week … and, they say Mercado was referred to them by a casting agency — and, they swear they had no idea she was a cop.

Lele Pons is pregnant … making the announcement with a fun photo shoot — and, the news caused “Too Hot to Handle” star Harry Jowsey to cry.

The model and influencer posted on IG just a few hours ago … sharing pics from an intimate photo shoot with her husband, singer Guaynaa.

The couple — who celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary a few days ago — look over the moon in the snaps … with Guaynaa rubbing Lele’s tummy and the two posing in a field and a bedroom.

Jowsey opens the case … and, his mouth falls wipe open — shock coloring his face ’cause something inside clearly shows Pons is pregnant. Lele then confirms as much by jumping up and revealing her pregnant stomach.
